SBMU Rank Glitters in the 7th Scientific Festival of the Medical Sciences Academy

The SBMU Ophthalmic Research Center (ORC) was awarded due to its first rank at the 7th Scientific Festival of the Medical Sciences Academy.

Professor Fereidoun Azizi, the SBMU RIES (Research Institute for Endocrine Sciences) was also awarded as the “Selected Academician of the Last Decade” of medical sciences.

 The number of citations in the ISI Database, searching the author’s names using the word “Iran”, the number of published articles, and the number of citations were all among the inclusion criteria for selecting the “Selected Academician of the Last Decade” (2003 – 2013).

 In the next step of awarding the other researchers, the results were analyzed, and following calculations of each academician’s scores, including the journals’ Impact factor (IF), and the number of citations, “Professor Nooreddin Hadavi’s Award” was handed to Professor Sepehr Feizi (SBMU Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology) as the First Award Winner in Clinical Surgery; moreover, Professor Bahareh Nikooyeh (Assistant Professor of the SBMU School of Nutrition) was awarded as the “The 2013 Young Researcher”.

The “Young Researcher” is awarded when a researcher is younger than 40 years old with the highest score obtained among the first 30 articles.
